  I took my son (age 15) for a cut. I usually go to the JC penny in Pittsburgh but I was not in Pittsburgh this time. They asked if it was a student cut I said I guess so because I never usually go in for a student cut I just get his hair cut. I showed her a simple pic went and sat down and not 10mins later he came over saying he was done but he had hair all over his face and neck and his hair was chopped bad!! I never have this issues at the other JC penny salon so I thought it would be the same here. If you do not have the time to do a proper cut then please do not do it! I had to get it fixed because it was that bad!

  I went to this salon because the one that I normally go to closed. I went for a wash and a trim. While washing, the stylist was super rough on my hair. At that point, I should have left. I told her I wanted one and a half to two inches off to even out the length and get rid of my layers. I told her I wanted some face framing pieces but that is it when it came to layers. She must've been cutting my hair for over an hour. She seemed too busy talking to her coworker and apparently forgot what I asked for. At the end, she insisted that the previous person who cut my hair did it wrong, when I was very pleased with my past haircut and the last stylist gave me what I asked for. This stylist at JCP decided to cut my hair how she pleased. She put more layers in my hair than what I walked in there with, and decided that my shortest layer should be the length of my face framing piece. Due to that, I have layers half way up my head now and my hair looks like a flight of stairs. It is so choppy and the layers do not blend AT ALL. Would not recommend. Spend $40+ dollars else where.
