  I have been debating writing this review for some time. I don’t mean for anything I say to come off as rude but I do feel it needs to be said. I have been coming to Mint since 2019 and have always had wonderful service. In the last 2 years, it has changed quite a lot. My regular stylist has since left and quite a few other stylists have left as well. The last few appointments I’ve had, every single one gets changed last minute or booked with a higher stylist, who is more money yet that’s not communicated until AFTER you get the service done. I understand when you have a master stylist, you are paying a higher price. But when you cancel my appointment and rebook it less than 2 hours before I’m supposed to come in, I feel like you could’ve worked something out. I didn’t book with a master stylist. That was the only alternative you gave me for my appointment. It comes off kind of impolite when that happens and you don’t mention “just letting you know she is a master stylist and it would cost this much, is that ok?”. A bit unprofessional to find that out AFTER I get the service. The quality of the highlights is also an issue I feel needs to be said. If I come in with dark roots and spend $200 on a full set of highlights, my hair should look like it. My hair really didn’t look that light and it ended up fading pretty quickly. It usually took about two hours here (keep this in mind when I make my point next). I took a chance and went to the salon school down the road just to see the difference before I spend another $200 on my hair to be disappointed. Not only did my hair look light and full of highlights, when I told my stylist the place I went to took 2 hours to do the highlights her eyes widened. She said “because you have a lot of hair and it’s a full set of highlights, it should take longer than two hours to do the whole thing plus the toner”. It all made sense. She said they were either rushing or not using the right amount of product on the hair. The school cost me less than half of what I spent at Mint. Between the constant last minute appointments changes, the way my hair looked, and the way the owner was talking about her stylists in front of customers, I can’t see myself returning. I found the whole dynamic very unprofessional.

  Always a great experience! Everyone is friendly and fun. Prices are reasonable for great services. Maddie is amazing!

  I’ve been going to Mint for years and it has been a wonderful experience each time. Kelly does a great job with color. I go back and forth between blonde and lower-maintenance “bronde” and she gets it exactly right every time.
