- NPnidhi patelApr 7, 20261.0I went to return some purchased items with a receipt, and my experience was very disappointing. When I approached the employee, there was no greeting at all. I noticed that another customer behind me, who was white, was greeted normally, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I said I needed to make a return, the employee responded rudely, asking, “All of them? What is the reason?” I explained my reason and even offered to point out which items were opened versus unopened, but she dismissed me and said they all needed to go into “damaged.” I asked if that meant I couldn’t return them, and she replied, “No, I’m just doing my job,” in a dismissive tone. She then proceeded to open all of the items and mark them as damaged, even the ones that were clearly unopened. During this process, I felt judged, discriminated against, and frankly that the treatment came across as a little racist. Another employee came over and asked again why I was returning the items, and after I explained my reason, she also shook her head, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. The first employee then said, “Oh, I’m checking all of it,” in a way that made it seem like I had done something wrong. Overall, the interaction made me feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and unfairly treated.

We have stopped into this place multiple times in the past couple of months and it is unlike any other Sephora in that it is filthy, the staff is disinterested and the inventory is poorly run. Staff stands around while makeup is in disarray, and half ripped open. The woman who appears to be a manager has a rude attitude when asked for something so much so my daughter was afraid to approach her. Willow Grove is worth the drive for us with a superior quality atmosphere, cleans and organized floor and caring staff. Not patronizing this place again.
