Honestly this store encapsulates why so many people dislike shopping at Sephora. Out of plenty of times i’ve been here i’m rarely ever greeted or asked if I need any help. I understand some people prefer being left alone during their shopping experience but being asked at least once would help shoppers feel seen. I always choose to go during slow hours and employees prefer talking to their coworkers than checking in on shoppers. When asking for help they seem bothered or uninterested in actually assisting as if it isn’t their job? Makeup is meant to make others feel better about themselves, meaning a shopping experience should be uplifting and helpful. I straight up heard a lady come in asking for recommendations for someone she knows struggling with acne and being told “There’s no product that will cover that”. How discouraging is it to hear that? No sympathy no effort, nothing. When making a return, when asking for a sample for an expensive product, you’re treated as if it’s effecting their pockets. I have given this location so many chances, I understand it’s busy, stressful, and probably low pay but why work at a makeup store with no want to help others?

Very helpful staff. I walked in with so many questions and the staff immediately helped and gave me so many options. I’m usually an ulta girly but this sephora really raised the bar for me

Sara (with the little bears on her name tag and bright pink hair) has the worst customer service I’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering at this Sephora. Largely unimpressive on a good day, she takes the cake with her “what do you want” attitude and a “don't bother me” face. I first noticed the dirty look she gave the couple that paid before me, but I tried to ignore it given it was a new interaction. Nope. Bitter, contemptuous and passive at best, I would be too, stuck at a dead-end minimum wage job. If you hate your employment so much, consider a line of work outside of customer service. It doesn’t suit you

Horrible customer service at Washington Square. My husband went in tonight to pick up an online order and do some shopping. He asked for help from multiple employees as they just stood around and no one was willing to actually help him. He was treated as an inconvenience. It was a really disappointing experience. Here’s hoping Ulta employees are a little more open to doing their jobs.

Most of my experiences here are negative due to an unwelcoming vibe from the staff. Feels like they really just don’t want to help you. I get sometimes you just have a bad day but every time I go in it’s the same:/
