Emily is the best for hair color, kid cuts. She really takes the time to understand what you want and then does an outstanding job.

She cut my hair way shorter than I wanted, and she made me ginger when I was trying to go with a more Carmel brown.

Laura did this to me on the second cut. She told me it would take two cuts for her to figure it out. My hair is ruined for a good 6 months to grow this out. She doesn’t follow instructions and overestimates her ability. Too much talking, not enough listening. She talks at people as a distraction instead of conversing meaningfully. Unfocused and prefers to gossip about her personal life instead of focusing on my haircut. Stylists that have been doing this too long are worse than inexperienced stylist because they are know not alls and stop trying, don’t care about offering flexible skill or effort to give you the cut you want. 25 years I think it’s time to retire. It was clear she didn’t appreciate me as a client by being late then rushing me out of the chair with plenty of time left, without checking the cut or putting any product in my hair, then not offering me a follow up appointment. Now I know why, I specifically stated that I did not want a dramatic undercut like the first cut because it was disconnected and too short. So not only does she ignore my request, it’s also angled the wrong direction for an inverted bob, so now I have a chunk of hair missing out of the base behind my left ear jacking up the entire cut. I pointed this out twice during the haircut and she played dumb then blamed it on my hair type like I don’t know what I’m looking at, then cut into my hair asymmetrically to try to disguise her mistake. I literally had to start digging into my hair and showing her how uneven it was when this is supposed to be a symmetrical haircut part in the middle, and she’s off center acting like it’s not plain as day when my hair is well over an inch off, which is manipulative and dishonest. It was clear I was talking to a wall so I just had to give up and cut my losses. She knew she screwed up so she lied to get me out of her chair as fast as possible. Didn’t ask me for a follow up appointment after being 10 minutes late for my appointment so she could take her sweet time to schedule the client before me for her future appointment…which was a big red flag, because she knew once I got home and analyzed my hair I wouldn’t be coming back. 25 years experience she should know better and should have a basic level of skill to be qualified as a master. Did they check her references? Did she even go to hair school? Because I’m starting to wonder who trained her if this was not on purpose. She’s been skating by too long on lonely little old ladies who just want to chit chat. She stopped caring about skill a long time ago and clearly doesn’t brush up her technique. She acted like she knew how to do this haircut because I interviewed her before the first one, told me it would take 2 cuts, then she abused my trust time and money, ruined my hair, instead of admitting this cuts is out of her league. The first haircut was rushed and incomplete because she only allotted 30 minutes, so giving the benefit of the doubt, I booked and hour this time and she did an even worse job because she didn’t want me taking up that much of her time, so I think she did this to me on purpose which I find discriminatory based on the personal information I revealed to her about my health. Worst haircut I’ve had from a “master stylist”. I’ll be contacting JCP corporate with more pictures and details. I don’t believe this is the first time she’s done something like this. Not technically rude, but uncooperative incompetent and purposely making the haircut worse instead of acknowledging the error pointed out and doing her best to fix it instead of leaving it to me to micromanage her with every detail when she should be the expert checking her own work. She knew exactly what she was doing. Shame on you Laura. Because of this experience, I will never shop at JCPenney’s again. I was thinking about opening another credit card if I had a good stylist to see on a regular basis. JCP can’t afford to alienate any customers so maybe you should be more accountable to your clients instead of treating them like they’re dumb blind and disposable.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment with Erin today at 12:15. I waited 30 before I had to ask the receptionist if she works there and let her know I had an appointment with Erin. She goes and tells Erin I'm waiting. Although Erin did see me a never acknowledged me either. There's some kind of lengthy conversation and she comes back and tells me she is running behind can I come back at 3:30. I do and I wait 40 more minutes as Erin is just chatting with an other client still doing her hair. I tell the receptionist again how long I been waiting (40 minutes) again. She leaves for about 5 minutes and I say is she almost done? She says didn't Erin come talk to you? I said no. So I wait a few more minutes, I still hear Erin chatting a way. I get up say hello to her and let her know I'm irritated for waiting so long without so much as a hello. She says oh I'm sorry and I say really?! You've ignored me twice and I waited almost two hours for nothing! I felt literally like she didn't acknowledge that I exist! I'm was so angry!...
