I strongly suggest paying a little extra for a simple wash and quick conditioner/de-tangling before you proceed any further. Otherwise it’s a squirt bottle which does not work on thick hair. Not even sure it works on any hair.

Do not layer the back means do not layer the back, yet she immediately went to layer the back. I had to get up and leave and go elsewhere to fix the monstrosity she did to my hair. If you care about your hair go someplace else.
