Don’t go here. Sharp unkind cancellations policy. I cancelled day before, by email. The company still debited my credit card. Refused to help. No ammount of explaining was going to undo their decision. No kindness -even though I was a repeat customer. I tipped plenty on my previous visit. I predict Now Massage Bend won’t last very long - with that kind of policy for repeat customers. I won’t be going there ever again. Of course I will tell all my friends.

Terrible place. Don’t go here. I can’t mention the details here. But just trust me you don’t want to experience what I went through with them.

I’ve made it a priority to see Tatum K. every month for 'The NOW 80' or 'The Healer 80,' and it has been a game-changer. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is instantly calming with soft lighting and the soothing sound of waves. Tatum is incredibly knowledgeable and truly listens to what my body needs. She spends the perfect amount of time on my problem areas, adjusting the pressure exactly as requested. The sessions are pure bliss—I usually get so relaxed I almost fall asleep! If you’re looking for a healing experience that leaves you feeling completely renewed, I cannot recommend Tatum enough.

Best parts: scheduling online, day-of availability, and price. Worst parts: noise, massage quality, massage “rooms” and size. Overall, not a fan and the worst massage experience I’ve had. For a last minimum day-of booking that didn’t break the bank, it was adequate. Set your expectations accordingly. Recommend lowering the price and making sure clients know the whole fabric “rooms” (think field triage medical tent set up). Before you go - the massage “rooms” are not rooms… they are cabanas of fabric in one large room. Thus, you can hear anyone else getting a massage, conversations, coughing, etc. It’s like going to a student clinic or group massage where each massage table is separated by a privacy curtain. To cover the noise they have layers of sound machine that are very loud - this makes it hard to communicate without raising your voice (asking for less pressure mid-session, for example). They sold me on the “crystal hot stone” add on… I must assume my practitioner didn’t know how to use them bc I’ve had better hot stone add ons at a strip mall nail salon pedicure. I shouldn’t have added it because it took time out of the massage (I got an 80 minute Swedish). The “room” had a lot of equipment in it (naturally you need lotion, towels, etc) and my massage therapist kept bumping into the floor basket for clothes and side table bc of how the space was set up. The lobby only has industrial DIY furniture, ex. wood platform with a pillow on it. Suggest getting actual chairs. The space has coastal, minimalist, industrial aesthetic, pretty for a photoshoot, but not practical for bodywork/massage therapy.

Worst massage experience of my life. I paid $190 with tip for a 50-minute deep tissue massage at The NOW in Bend, and I left feeling completely untouched where I actually needed work. I had serious knots deep in my shoulder blade area that were never addressed. It honestly felt like the therapist avoided the problem areas entirely. I walked out frustrated and still tense. Out of desperation, I drove one block to Zen Massage and paid $99 for a full 1hr session that included a scalp massage and hot stones. Within minutes of starting on my shoulders, the therapist at Zen said, “Wow… you are so tense.” Within 10 minutes I could actually feel her breaking up the deep knots that the previous massage didn’t even touch. The difference was immediate and undeniable. For nearly double the price at The NOW, I expected expertise, pressure, and real deep tissue work. I learned a VERY expensive lesson that I hope I can help you avoid. It’s trendy … so I guess that’s cool?
