Dear Sephora Customer Service Team,
I am writing to report an unpleasant experience my family and I had at one of your Sephora stores.
During our visit, a Beauty Studio employee named Puja behaved unprofessionally toward my wife. My wife approached her politely to seek advice about a product. Instead of assisting or responding courteously, the employee ignored her request and abruptly stated that she needed to attend to another customer and could not explain anything. No effort was made to guide my wife, suggest another staff member, or provide basic customer service.
This interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful, which was disappointing, especially from a brand known for its customer-focused service and inclusivity. We expect Sephora employees to treat all customers with courtesy, patience, and professionalism.
I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and appropriate steps will be taken to ensure better customer service in the future.

Aaliyah helped me a few weeks ago, and she was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She was able to perfectly colour match me just by looking at me, and we later confirmed she was spot on using the Sephora match tool. Her customer service and attention to detail are exceptional, and she made the entire experience feel effortless and personalized. She helped me choose a HUDA foundation and Patrick Ta blush which have been working nicely with my skin tone! Thank you again!

I went to self check out and the lady was just standing there and told me “sorry self check out is closed.”
I went to regular check out and when I finished checking out I looked back and saw that the very same lady was helping out these white customers. I confronted her and asked her why is it open now all of a sudden and she just laughed in my face.
I am appalled by the blatant racism that I experienced it’s extremely unfortunate. I hope this lady finds peace bc it reflects horribly on Sephora as a whole. Thoroughly disgusting behavior.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at the Vaughan Mills Sephora left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. A staff member named Praveer Singh was rude and unprofessional and publicly accused me of being “flagged” by Sephora. This accusation was made loudly, in front of other customers, which felt unnecessary and humiliating since everyone around me started looking at me. The whole situation made me feel very anxious.
I later contacted Sephora customer service the same day and was informed, politely and professionally, that my account was not flagged.
For context, I previously worked at Sephora, so I am familiar with internal policies and customer service standards. Being “flagged” typically implies suspicious activity such as theft, which made the accusation especially inappropriate, especially considering I am a Rouge member who spends thousands of dollars annually.
Sephora employees are usually kind and helpful, even during busy hours, and my one-star review is not a reflection of the rest of the staff. It is solely based on this specific interaction, which did not meet Sephora’s expected standards of professionalism and respect. But I will not be going to Vaughan Mills Sephora again.

I am extremely disappointed with the behaviour of one of the employees at the Sephora in Vaughan Mills. While I was waiting in line and simply watching TikTok on my phone, a staff member named Cassandra / Kassandra (not sure of the exact spelling, she had lash extensions) approached me in a very rude and accusatory manner.
She said, “You can’t record here, ma’am.” I calmly explained that I was not recording at all, I was just on my phone. Instead of listening, she insisted that she “saw me recording,” which was completely untrue. I fully understand if recording is not allowed, but accusing a customer without any proof and speaking to them disrespectfully is not acceptable.
Her tone, attitude, and assumptions were completely out of line. No customer should be spoken to that way, especially in a brand as reputable as Sephora. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and frankly offensive. Employees should know how to approach customers respectfully, not jump to conclusions or make false accusations.
I hope management takes this complaint seriously, because this store clearly needs improvement in customer service and employee training. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue will be addressed. If I do not receive one, I will be contacting Sephora’s HR department directly.
