We had an excellent experience at Sephora Eaton Centre. The Beauty Advisor who helped us wore black-frame glasses with a matching black glasses chain. She listened carefully, guided us with clear and personalized recommendations, and used the device to find my friend’s exact undertone — perfectly matching the foundation shade she was looking for. My friend doesn’t know much about makeup, and she patiently walked her through all the products she recommended, explaining what each one does and how to use it. At the end, she suggested booking a makeup lesson so my friend could learn step-by-step, and she kindly provided a service card for her to make an appointment. We were honestly so happy, and this support made a big difference for my friend. Her professionalism made the entire visit smooth and enjoyable. We left confident in our choices and will definitely look for her again.

I made a purchase today, November 20th, at the Eaton Centre branch. Unfortunately, the behavior of the cashier named Hayat was profoundly unprofessional and rude.Despite making a significant $150 purchase, she asked, in an unnecessarily blunt and inappropriate tone, "Do you want a bag or not?"—a question I am rarely asked at Sephora.Upon completing the transaction, instead of politely handing me the shopping bag, she literally threw it onto the counter. I instinctively looked up in surprise because of the action. She only offered a strained, half-hearted apology grudgingly after she saw my reaction. As a loyal customer, I expect a higher level of courtesy and professionalism. I truly fail to understand why personnel with such a blatant lack of respect for customers are employed at the checkout. This behavior completely spoiled my shopping experience at your store. Please reconsider the quality and training of your cashier staff at the Eaton Centre location.

Sana is very unprofessional and argumentative. She consistently tried to find flaws in what I was saying when I was just trying to be honest and find a solution for my wife's refund. She twisted my words to make her arguments against me when she should focus on store policy and professionalism. Her attitude is unacceptable, when a customer is not being difficult and communicating clearly. I feel sorry for the good workers who report to her if she deals with them like this

I went here with my daughter and we got fantastic. Help from Tara. She spent a lot of time with us. She guided us through the store. She listened to my daughter communicated very well with my daughter and let us to things didn't know we needed it. She had a dance background so she was very able to help my daughter with her make up unique make up needs. She really understood my daughter. She really took the time to listen. And she also helped me with some mail skin care products. In the end, it was a very easy experience for us and we spent a bunch of money and we're satisfied so she really did a great job.

I rarely post reviews, and while the greeters at the entrance are usually great, I’ve had enough of how the rest of the staff always seem rude or in a rush in this branch. I visit sephora almost weekly and usually buy something every month (multiple products each time). Since I moved in downtown this is my go to sephora. I don’t often ask for help, but when I do, I always make a purchase, yet they still act like they don’t want to assist. There are plenty of staff on the floor, but it still feels like no one’s really available or paying attention. Maybe it’s just me, but as an Asian who looks young for my age, I sometimes can’t help but feel judged or dismissed. Twice it happened to me here, I ask one question, the person I’m talking to just walks away or turns her back on me right after even though I’m not yet done asking for help, the other times I ask if they have stocks left, no answer just handing me the product with an irritated look every time, no greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. There’s also a time multiple tester glass bottles shattered in front of me and other customers almost hitting our faces, because one staff mishandled the testers while he is showing it, the other 2 staffs just swooped in to clean it, but not even one staff apologized or checked if maybe we got hit by a glass, they only showed an attitude as if the mess was our fault. Are the staff here okay? This is the only place I get to experience these kinds of things. I also work in the same industry for a luxury brand and have experience in non-luxury ones too, very fast-paced, so I understand how customer service is. The staff here definitely need more training on how to engage with customers and talk about the products they’re selling. Sometimes, I even overhear staff explaining products, always in a rush! Sometimes they would also mess up the testers themselves because they are in a hurry showing the products like they just want to get over with it. And they sound unsure of what they’re saying about the products, or say the wrong info that could definitely affect their opportunity for a sale, showing a lack of product knowledge. I know retail can be tiring, but if you choose to work in sales or customer service, attitude matters. This branch really needs to retrain its staff or reconsider who they have on the floor, especially since so many reviews mention the same issue about rudeness. There are plenty of people out there who are looking for employment right now and would kill for a job anywhere, and probably would do a much better job if given the chance.
