I found out I was allergic to a main ingredient in a product i purchased- it is not an uncommon allergy. Brought the product, my receipt for the product i purchased 6 days ago and my doctors note detailing my allergy, my severe symptoms and to discontinue use in order to return it. Employee named “Claire” accused me of tampering with the product and putting “alcohol” in the bottle. Claire refused to hear me out about my allergy or put into consideration that i purchased the product less than a week ago. So, within the 30 days of purchase, with receipt, box and medical note she refused my return. I can understand and accept her not taking the product back however, the issue was her accusing me of something to vile and outrageous. Someone who lacks critical thinking skills and professionalism has no business representing the company. Telling customers their return won’t be accepted isn’t out of the ordinary. Accusing customers of illegal activity and harmful behaviour and refusing to hear out the customer being negatively physically effected my the product is uncalled for and lacks integrity. Sephora’s motto is “We belong to something beautiful” cruelty, ableism, and inappropriately speaking to customers is not aligned with your core values. Take a look at who you hire and how they poorly represent the brand and the brands objective. When I called the union station store to request her name to report her to her superiors, she answered and tried to pretend like she was someone else. She’s said “the employees name is Claire” i could tell by her attitude it was Claire speaking. i said “is this Clair?” and she said “yes.” Her pretending to be someone else initially tells me a few things: She knows she was wrong otherwise she wouldn’t have lied, she’s ashamed of her actions otherwise she would have just said “my name is Claire” instead of what she actually said which was “her name is Claire” and finally, it confirms Claire lacks integrity, accountability, and basic management and customer service skills. Claire as a person lacks honesty and therefore she assumes everyone else does as well but that’s not the way to treat loyal customers. Loss prevention is one thing - discrimination, excessive cruelty and ableism is another.

i’ve only been in here twice and today will be my last visit. i was in line at cash while the cashier was helping an elderly lady and it was taking a bit of time, which was okay because i had time to kill. there was a lineup that i was at the front of, and i quickly noticed that instead of helping with the lineup, all of her coworkers ignored her or were busy checking themselves out in the mirrors. then, when one girl finally decided to help move the line with a mobile phone paystation, i was expecting that since I just had a hand sanitizer and was first in line she’d take me. however, she gave me a once over, rolled her eyes, and went to a girl who was third in line and offered to check her out. very very unprofessional. my cashier emilie was so lovely and did a great job, but yall seriously need to chat with the rest of your staff about how they treat customers because i was very disappointed by how i was treated today.

This location is clean, convenient and has awesome staff! While I was waiting for my train, I killed some time in this location. While what I originally wanted to buy wasn’t in stock, I ended up getting a better alternative with the help from Naeema! She was so friendly and gave her honest feedback, without feeling pressured to buy! And the cashier Emilie (I believe that was her name, sorry if I’m wrong >•<) was also friendly and chill! Whenever I’m downtown, I’ll make this my go-to Sephora!

Just don’t shop here. You are chopped liver to the associates lol. I was charged double for an item and didn’t realize until the next day, went over to have it fixed but was told I have to bring back all my products. I brought back my whole purchase the next week, was interrogated and made to wait for 10-15 minutes while the associates discussed and I can only assume reviewed camera footage. I did get my refund but not a single apology was given to me. Like ok not like I’ve wasted two of my lunch hours coming down here to fix YOUR mistake. The online app provides better customer service ffs. Also side note half the girls working aren’t even wearing makeup. So you can’t trust these girls to even be knowledgeable about product, let alone customer service 🤷🏻‍♀️

From the moment I arrived, Dani made my experience at Sephora exceptional. She was a true pleasure from start to finish, warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. What stood out immediately was her depth of knowledge and confidence; she didn’t just recommend products, she thoughtfully listened to my needs, explained why certain options would work, and tailored everything perfectly to me. Dani went well above and beyond what I expected. She took the time to ensure I felt comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for, never rushing and never making the experience feel transactional. Her kindness and professionalism created such a calm, welcoming environment, and it’s abundantly clear that she is extremely talented and truly knows her craft. What impressed me most is that Dani embodies what outstanding customer service should be : expertise paired with empathy. She elevated my entire visit and turned a simple shopping trip into a memorable, confidence-boosting experience. especially since it was for an important event! Sephora is incredibly lucky to have someone like her on the team, and I sincerely hope she is recognized for the value she brings. Thank you, Dani, for everything on December 14th you made a lasting impression! My sister and I both thank you so much for everything!
