If you want a lesson in how to BE RACIST & RUDE! Come to this store . Just buy the Occitane products at Sephora!!
I Love Occitane products but the sales associates at this Yorkdale location are CLASSIST , RACIST and RUDE. This is my third time purchasing something from this store and if it weren’t for the great products I’d NEVER RETURN. EVERY Single FEMALE sales associate here is RUDE and assumes that if you aren’t white you should be followed around the store and borderline harassed. The store isn’t even that large and you cannot move two feet and try to experience the PRICEY products before you buy them . I make it a point always buy my expensive items when I look plain & bit frumpy because I want to see which sales associate is going to treat me poorly based on my looks . The female staff here are the PERFECT sample of individuals to judge customers based on looks . Almost no other store in this mall does that anymore. Today at 1:35pm I went into the store knowing what I wanted and the minute I stepped in, I was being followed like a HAWK. I washed my hands, tried on the product I wanted just to double check and took it to the cashier. Who was an Asian young woman, she acted like she couldn’t get me out of the store fast enough. To the point where she almost didn’t ask me if I had an account with them. Until I said something. The staff in this store should be ashamed of themselves! It’s 2026, people don’t have to look like A celebrity to be able to afford your products!

Came in here yesterday. And the Asian lady by far has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen, from someone who works in cooperate - this shocking to see this kind of service at Yorkdale mall.
The brand is good, but people like this end up tarnishing the brands name.

Love these stores but the customer service here is so bad. Pushy and it feels like your existence annoying their souls. Went on Wednesday at 3pm and wouldn’t be back.

I was very dissatisfied with the service. The service staff didn't live up to their professional standards for such a luxury store. I was treated badly at Zara, and it was terrible. I work in customer service myself, so I have something to compare it to. I think Zara needs to be more polite, and if she doesn't like her work, she can confidently change it. This is the first time I've received terrible service at my favorite store she didn't even give me a sample.

I would like to commend Shirley for her exceptional customer service. From the moment I approached her, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me find exactly what I needed. Shirley listened carefully, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
Her professionalism, patience, and warm personality truly stood out. It’s rare to encounter someone who goes above and beyond with such sincerity, and Shirley absolutely did. She is a great asset to your team, and I deeply appreciate the outstanding service she provided.
Thank you, Shirley, for making my visit such a positive experience!
