- DMDavid McCallumApr 1, 20261.0Booked online today for my son and I. I was both physically and virtually ahead of a man today, I believe his name was Moe. This was around 5:40 pm. We booked online, we were in the #1 position, my son was in the chair and the second hair dresser decided to let her friend, cousin, relative (whoever it was) ahead of me. Great Clips’ entire business model is founded on booking online and maintaining the integrity of that booking system. After Moe was completed it was now my turn, to which I declined. My son finished his haircut, I voiced my concern with what happened at the store, we left and simply won’t be back. You should stick to your business model, if you alienate that, you will continue to lose customers.

Both times, I was attended by the same young stylist (out of the three staff members she is the youngest, I didn’t catch her name as it wasn’t mentioned). Unfortunately, she did a very poor job on both visits. My haircut was uneven with a bad blend, and my beard trim was patchy with uneven lines. She seemed unsure of what she was doing and kept asking me how to proceed, which felt very unprofessional. Even before starting, her colleague (a middle-aged woman) said to her, “Oh, it’s too much hair, all the best,” which should have been a red flag. When I pointed out the issues, she appeared nervous and struggled to fix them. Overall, very disappointing. I strongly suggest better training and quality control before assigning stylists to custom

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
