- ETEverafter TaliAug 3, 20255.0popped into Sephora today to pick up a MAC classic (Ruby Woo) then realized there’s a full MAC store right inside Rideau Centre. Of course I had to check it out. I’m so glad I did! The team there was incredibly welcoming and ready with shade suggestions. I ended up leaving with more than I planned: the Candy Yum Yum lip pencil and a matching gloss. The vibrant pink is bold yet surprisingly wearable, and I love how the pencil and gloss layer for different looks. To top it off, MAC was running a sweet little promotion. With every purchase they were giving away the cutest candy-pink, lip-shaped pouch. It’s the perfect size for tossing a few go-to products in my bag and adds such a playful pop of color. The Rideau MAC store itself felt like a mini playground for lip lovers so many finishes and shades all in one place, with staff who clearly know and love their products. I went in for one lipstick and walked out with a whole lip wardrobe plus a free gift. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in downtown Ottawa and want to treat yourself or find a fun makeup surprise.

When I came to return the unopened brand new lip liner a different associate asks why I want to return it and says “you can just keep it our products have a long shelf life” when i reiterated that I ended up with the same shade at home I do not want it, she responded it “well it’ll go to get destroyed anyways”. So if returns are accepted, why am I being guilted over it? Absolute bizarre situation. Made me really uncomfortable to return a product (I did not use) but being guilted to keep it?? Personally would not come back to this location because I would have to be stressed over returns.
