From the beginning, she was not welcoming. She seemed annoyed that I had booked the appointment under my own account, even though it was for my child. When she noticed my daughter’s hair was tangled, instead of addressing it kindly, she told my daughter to “tell your mom to use conditioner”—which felt inappropriate and unprofessional to direct at a child. I tried to explain the haircut I wanted, but she didn’t seem open to listening. Even after I showed her a reference image from the Great Clips website, her body language and facial expression made it clear she was irritated that I was giving input. She didn’t acknowledge my request and made me feel like I was being difficult for simply asking for a specific style. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and uncomfortable. I hope the salon encourages staff to be more respectful, especially when working with children and parents who are simply trying to communicate clearly. “Because of this stylist’s unprofessional and unwelcoming behavior, I will not be returning to this salon.”
