⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience While Visiting Sephora – Yorkdale Location I was in Toronto on a trip and decided to stop by the Sephora at Yorkdale Shopping Centre to pick up a few colognes—some as a gift for my mom and a couple for myself. Even though I was just visiting, the team made me feel completely welcomed. They took such good care of me. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They patiently helped me choose the perfect scents and really listened to what I was looking for. I genuinely felt valued as a customer. I walked out very happy with my purchases and impressed by their outstanding service. If you’re in the area—whether local or just visiting like me—I highly recommend this Sephora location!

I’m genuinely stunned at the incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of integrity at the Sephora Yorkdale location. I came in a few weeks ago to purchase two lip balms. It was a simple transaction that turned into one of the most frustrating and dishonest retail experiences I’ve ever had. I was checking out at the express counter with Aida, and asked her to verify my Beauty Insider status because it was the first day of the VIB Rouge sale and I wasn’t sure if I qualified. She told me I wasn’t Rouge but said she could “still give me 10% off.” I assumed this was a courtesy discount. While attempting to apply my two gift cards, she repeatedly got error messages and clearly didn’t know how to process them. The line was building long behind me as she kept struggling, and failed to ask for help from a colleague. When I suggested moving to the main cashier area where they have full POS computers, she gave me attitude, brushed me off, and insisted “it would be the same.” Then she checked the balance of my cards, but at checkout entered LOWER amounts (e.g. using $18 instead of the $20 balance) so that the system would accept it. This left odd amounts on my cards that are now essentially useless. She never told me she was doing this. I also asked for a printed receipt, and she told me she “can’t provide that” at express checkout, another thing I only learned after the transaction was done. When I checked the emailed receipt, I see that she did NOT give me a 10% courtesy discount. Instead, she USED 500 of my insider points for $10 off, WITHOUT my consent. She never asked my permission, never mentioned points, and misled me by saying “10%” rather than “$10.” This is completely unacceptable and unethical. Clearly, staff at this location are overwhelmed by routine procedures, fail to follow protocol, have poor problem-solving skills, and are careless about customer transparency. I immediately went to the main checkout to fix this, and the staff there told me they cannot reverse points, so there was “nothing they could do.” The manager, Jame, reiterated the same thing and only suggested contacting customer service, even though this situation was caused entirely by their employee’s (Aida’s) errors and lack of transparency. I literally couldn’t even return and repurchase the items to correct the gift card issue because I’d lose the $10 she took from my account. I left feeling scammed, dismissed, and completely unheard. I’ve shopped at Sephora for many years and have never encountered such poor training, misinformation, and mishandling of my account. Sephora needs to address the severe lack of training and accountability at this location, starting with ensuring employees understand how to properly process gift cards, how to obtain consent before using loyalty points, and how to treat customers with basic professionalism. If you value your time, your loyalty points, or straightforward transactions, avoid this location at all costs.

I had the best experience at Sephora thanks to Anu! She was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, recommended products that actually suited my skin, and made sure I felt confident in my choices. Her knowledge and professionalism were amazing, but what stood out most was how warm and welcoming she was. If you ever visit this Sephora, definitely ask for Anu ! she’ll make your shopping experience so much better!

Ordered 2 perfumes online and picked it up in store. Wanted to return one and get a different one using the same payment method. Asked the cashier if it can be done, weird dude “Stephen” who claims to be the manager (disappointment) barged in between the conversation with no introduction and started saying no to everything. Doesn’t even know the full story, cut me off, cut the cashier off and the only thing he said was no. It was kinda funny like the dude was on some sort of power trip. Sephora can do better with people who have actual managerial experience other than clowns who doesn’t even know how to greet people. Anyway 2 stars only because the perfume smells amazing.

Went to shop yesterday and enjoy my time in my favourite store and noticed one of the Brown Male Workers following me throughout the whole store. The store was noticeably very busy so it wasn’t hard to tell that he was breathing down my neck while i switched to browse different sections referred from my online sephora cart. It made my shopping experience so incredibly uncomfortable and i’m so upset that i didn’t address it in the moment instead i was so overwhelmed. I would’ve spent way more time in the store shopping if it wasn’t for me being anxious after noticing he was everywhere i went. The store is already overstimulating enough i just wanted to enjoy my shopping experience. Please if this can be addressed towards him and/or your staff as a whole. i read reviews and seen awfully similar statements which is very sad and telling. Some ladies were very helpful i can say this lady with blue highlights was great and another lady i can’t remember but overall my experience shopping at this location was not good at all and honesty i wouldn’t return unless i absolutely had no choice.
