    I asked an employee a question about a product, but she didn’t seem to know anything Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to explain it properly, and her English made communication difficult. When I asked if someone else could assist me, she responded in a rude and unprofessional manner. I hope staff can be better trained to answer basic product questions and speak proper English.

    I was told end of December that their birthday gifts were sold out for the year, and to come back in January to get my birthday gift. I came by January 3rd and the employees told me that they couldn’t give it to me as it’s 2026 now. She told me I should have come in October 2025 to get my December gift… how was I supposed to know that? This is extremely unfair for those with December birthdays; it’s not my fault that Sephora stores poorly plan their stock and run out at the end of the year. The employees refused to help me resolve the issue or help in anyway, and they were not friendly at all. Thanks Sephora for being so unfair to December babies and the Bayshore employees for not bothering to help their customers at all! Update (an hour later): I went to the Tanger Sephora to try again and the employee working was so friendly and helpful. She said it was no problem to redeem my birthday gift today since my birthday was end of December and Sephora allows you to redeem your gift two weeks before and after your birthday, meaning I still qualified. Thank you to the employees at Tanger for helping resolve this so seamlessly. I was in and out in 3 minutes. And to the employees at Bayshore, learn some customer service skills! They didn’t even try to offer me a solution or check my account to see my actual birth date. Instead they were extremely cold and brushed me off.

    My girlfriend and I felt extremely uncomfortable during our visit. A white female staff member followed us closely throughout the store, making it obvious we were being watched rather than assisted. When she finally approached us, it was done in an aggressive and vague way under the excuse of “offering help.” This behavior felt unnecessary and targeted, and it ruined what should have been a normal shopping experience. This is not acceptable customer service, especially from a brand that claims to value inclusivity.

    Staff and store is just too busy and they don’t do anything about it, I went in twice looking for a foundation match waited 20 minutes each time and no one came. I gathered the items I wanted and just went up to the cash assuming they were too busy and some idiot on cash told me that the return policy was 4 days. I made her call a manager, it’s 30 days. She rug them up and didn’t apply the discount and I just left without buying anything. Y'all suck at actual sales if it wasn’t the exact products in the store you'd all be doing terrible.

    Very rude staff who are not knowledgeable of their products. I asked one employee to help me because I got the wrong Super Goop sunscreen and she was trying to tell me it was right. She was acting so impatient. Someone more senior helped me and confirmed that I got the wrong one (mineral version that is very white when I wanted the clear version). Then in line someone pulled me out to say she could process the return with her mobile device. She could not figure out how to use it and asked for help from another colleague who was so rude for no reason! I asked if I could check out at the cash instead and that colleague said I would have to get in the back of the line! Absolutely not!!! I will avoid this location going forward. Bring back the glamour of competent Sephora staff!
