I want to clarify that this review reflects my experience with the specific stylist who serviced me, not other stylists at the salon.
I specifically requested a simple, short trim as I am growing my hair out—only light shaping, no layers, straight, and low maintenance. The Korean stylist assigned to me verbally confirmed and repeated my requirements, including “saving length,” “not too much,” “no layers,” and “just shape it,” and agreed to all of them. I also showed her several reference videos, and we clearly confirmed one specific hairstyle before she began cutting.
However, within minutes, she cut off a significant amount of length and added numerous layers, resulting in a hairstyle that was far shorter than requested, uneven, and difficult to maintain. The final result was messy and completely inconsistent with both our verbal discussion and the agreed reference style. When I expressed surprise, she firmly stated, “See, different,” rather than acknowledging the mismatch.
It is unclear whether there was a communication issue due to her language skills or whether the stylist chose to proceed with a style of her own preference despite clear instructions and visual confirmation.
Although I was disappointed, I still left a tip as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, the stylist reacted negatively and threw the payment receipt at me, appearing upset with the amount, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable.
As a result, I am now forced to live with a messy hairstyle I did not ask for and cannot easily correct until my hair grows out. This review is shared for transparency and to help future clients make informed decisions, and it should not be taken as a reflection of other stylists who were not involved in this service.
