    I am very disappointed about this store. I got allergic from their skin care product. But they only tried to find the reason to stop me returning the product. Not care about how my skin is. Only use the product in 10 days. Using around 10% amount of product. But, they do not allow me to return it.

    Sephora Location: Sephora – Fairview Park 2960 Kingsway Dr Kitchener, ON N2C 1X1, Canada Date of Incident: Monday, December 22, 2025 The SEPHORA FAIRVIEW PARK KITCHENER LOCATION DEMONSTRATES SERIOUS FAILURES IN STAFF TRAINING, CHECKOUT PRACTICES, PRICING INTEGRITY and PRIVACY COMPLIANCE! At checkout, the debit terminal required entry of personal information (email address and phone number) before payment could proceed. The associate who served me (female) did not explain why this information was required, how it would be used, or whether consent was optional. There was no clear opt-out presented. The process was handled poorly and without professionalism. Under Canadian privacy law, personal information must be collected with meaningful, informed consent. Forcing personal data entry at the point of sale without explanation or choice raises legitimate privacy compliance concerns. More seriously, I was explicitly told by the cashier that my second item would be 50% off. This representation was false. After reviewing my receipt, no discount was applied and I was charged full price for both items. Providing incorrect pricing information to complete a transaction is misrepresentation at the point of purchase. This interaction demonstrated: > Inadequate staff training and supervision > Improper handling of mandatory POS data collection > Failure to verify pricing before payment > No accountability or customer service This is not a minor error. It reflects a systemic breakdown in checkout controls and oversight at this location. Customers should review their receipts before leaving, as verbal pricing assurances cannot be relied upon here. I have escalated this issue formally and will not return to this store.

    This store is a textbook example of selective customer service. Their eagerness to help clearly depends on who you are, not on any basic standard of professionalism. Shopping here feels unwelcome and exhausting. Definitely my last in-store visit—online is the only way to go. I practically had just 1 person from the staff who treated me well, and even went all the way to get me a tester. Rest everyone was a pain to even look at as they were ignorant and as I mentioned earlier, selectively helpful!

    I had a very disappointing experience shopping at Sephora. I bought a product for my skin, and when it didn’t suit me, I was told by a staff member that I could return it within 30 days. However, when I went back, they refused to accept the return and wouldn’t give me my money back even though their policy says returns are allowed. This was very frustrating and felt unfair — I lost my money for a product that didn’t work for me. The staff did not honor the return policy, and the whole experience was very unpleasant. I do NOT recommend shopping at Sephora because of this.

    I had a very disappointing experience at the Fairview Mall Sephora today (Dec 11, 2025). I entered the store with a Walmart cart because I had other items with me, and no one at the entrance informed me that it wasn’t allowed. When I went to the perfume section, a staff member told me carts weren’t permitted, which I understood. Since I needed to leave for work soon and had items in the cart, I asked at the front if I could park it in an empty space. A manager (her name might be Nikitha or Mamta, but I’m not completely sure) approached me and said, “Unfortunately we can’t park it, you have to leave the shop.” Her tone felt very rude and dismissive, and I was embarrassed in front of other customers. I want to be clear — I don’t blame any of the other staff; they were fine. My issue is only with this manager. Based on the way she spoke to me, I honestly don’t think she is suited for a managerial position. I stayed only because I needed to buy a perfume for my husband, but the experience left a really bad impression. I don’t think I will return to this location. All customers deserve to be treated equally and with respect, and proper customer service training is definitely needed here. Based on my experience, I would also advise other customers to be cautious. If you see this manager working, just be prepared that the interaction may not be pleasant — she truly ruined my day with the way she spoke to me.
