I had explained to the cashier I wanted to exchange and she informed me there was a remaining amount I had I could use in store but I told her I’d prefer to get store credit to browse another time. She dismissed exactly what I said and returned the amount to the card of the person who gifted me the item and I told her that wasn’t what I wanted. She replied “well, you can contact customer service to fix this”, I work in customer service as well and I know for sure that isn’t how you solve an issue that you created for the customer. Store credit is not hard to return and the fact she had the audacity to tell me that the person who gifted me the item wouldn’t see the refund amount… like do we understand it shows on a banking statement?? Clearly not. It’s outrageous she made no attempt to fix the issue and simply directed me to customer service. This location needs some serious POS system training and empathy to actually rectify mistakes and not leave it to customer to fix their mistake, now I have to wait until customer service reopens in the new year.

When I asked again, a staff member handed me the lipstick without saying anything, which made me feel as though I was interrupting them.
