  My mom and I went in today and I left balling my eyes out these people have no idea how to cut hair I asked for half an inch off the bottom and asked for my layers to be touched up as well as my bangs and told her I wanted to keep it long I even showed her an inspo photo and she cut ALL my hair off and gave me choppy uneven layers she cut at LEAST 5 inches off the bottom and I left with an uneven bob. My mom asked for a trim and layers and left with blocky uneven hair that’s not even layered.

  I couldn’t wait to get out of the chair so I could go home and cry about how awful the haircut was. The woman cutting my hair was too afraid to even detangle properly, barely used enough water to actually SEE my proper curl pattern and then sprayed in a bunch of leave in conditioner (only on the ends) and only brushed (with a flimsy plastic comb) the mid length to ends to detangle. She also didn’t take the time to properly section my hair so the cut is all uneven and my curls are sticking out of places they shouldn’t be. By the time it was finished it didn’t look curly and nice like it does when I wash it, it looked like a dry frizzy mess. While I was there and sitting patiently in the chair getting my hair cut, there was another blonde hairstylist who was cleaning up and getting ready to close for the day. The whole time she was gossiping about the 3rd hairstylist who had left for the day and had mentioned that she (stylist who left for the day) had texted a 4th stylist that she was not needed for tomorrow but had not yet gotten a text back. The blonde stylist was speaking to the woman doing my hair saying that she was excited to know about if the stylist who was texted not to show up the next day was going to ignore the text or not and perhaps show up anyways. She went on to mention that this girl was apparently rude to customers, made her (the blonde stylist) feel uncomfortable and complained about her shifts being cut as favouritism in the workplace. She then went on to mock this stylist saying “it’s not favouritism, it’s just what the franchisee says we’re allowed to do”. She also had the confidence to say “I hope she shows up tomorrow just so I can send her home and then laugh at her”. I’m at home now in my shower and bawling my eyes out. I don’t even know what to do about this. I honestly wish I could get my money back so I could go somewhere else to have it fixed as the environment isn’t one I’d like to go back into. **UPDATE AFTER WASHING IN SHOWER WHEN I GOT HOME** I added more photos as a reference to how CURLY my hair should be vs how they allowed me to walk out of the salon. My mixed girl curls soak up hydration so they need lots of water for a haircut not just little sprays that normal white girl hair gets. While my hair feels lighter it’s also feels VERY uneven since it wasn’t parted properly for the haircut in the first place. I came here to refresh my look and give myself some self care after having a really rough week in the hospital and now I’d really like to just sink back into the depression hole I just tried to crawl out of.
