After doing a bit of online investigation and calling the shop (in Bradford), here's what I found out: There are no appointments made. You check the online wait time and sign up. You will get a text message about 15 min prior to your estimate time of haircut. This worked well for me. I signed up on their website. In my phone call I asked if they had a senior price for haircuts. Was informed yes, $25. Perfect! Headed over to the shop. Went in. Was warmly greated and asked if I signed in. I confirmed to the affirmative. Their system allows you to see where you are in the queue. My first impression was positive. Place looked clean. Products well stocked. I was a bit surprised to see I was the only female there to get a hair cut. Three men in chairs getting haircuts and about five waiting. Made no difference to me. I had a seat. When it was my turn, I was called to the chair, hairdresser introduced herself and we commenced to chat about what I wanted. As we got started and to the time I got up to leave, I began to realize why the price was cheap. You don't get your hair washed (that costs extra). No blow dry (that costs extra). No products in your hair (I guess that's extra as well). All this is fine, except it would have been nice to know that before hand. Thankfully I washed my hair before I went (which is strange, cause I don't normally). Thankfully, again, that my hair is short so walking out with no styling was, well, ok I guess. I was surprised also that no one told me about the products available for sale and the cost. I recognized the brands and certainly would have purchased some paste (I have a spiky do) had I needed some. All in all, will I go back? Probably. Regy listened to my needs. Was courteous and seemed like she knew what she was doing. Cleanliness of the shop added bonus points. Next time I will know for sure to wash my hair and I will make sure I'm not going to meet anyone for lunch afterwards. Unless I want to pay $10 for any additional blowout. Three stars is all for the experience. The website should have been more forthcoming about the pricing of all that goes into a haircut. It was noted on the sign in the store. Maybe that's on me as a consumer that's never experienced a salon like this? Also, come to think of it, maybe that's why it was all men getting haircuts. Lol
