- MPMelissa PattersonSep 25, 20251.0Stopped by for a wash and blow dry. I’m here from out of town, my hotel doesn’t have great water pressure, and I have very thick hair. The woman who took me back did okay at washing, although she didn’t scrub my scalp, but when she turned off the blow dryer I assumed it was to change tools because my hair was definitely not finished. She brushed it down straight and said “Is that good?” I said well, it’s pretty puffy, I don’t think it’s dry yet,…then I felt under and in different parts of my head and said yeah it’s not dry, sorry. She turned the hair dryer on full cold and brushed my hair straight down while pointing the cold air at it, went around my head once and turned it off again. At one point she said “it’ll go down, the body will go down” …when does body ever go down?? In the Tulsa humidity my remaining wet hair and roots will curl up and make my whole head look like a half wet poodle who walked by an electric socket. The worst part is it cost $50!! I now have to go back to my hotel and fix it myself before meeting friends for dinner. I could have gotten a wash for $10 with the same results. Very frustrated and disappointed. If you don’t know how to do the job just say so, pass it on to someone who does, I would have been happy to wait for someone who knows what a blow dryer with a round brush is supposed to look like in the end.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
