She audibly sighed as soon as she heard the word autism!! She was incredibly rude to my son, who was on his best behavior. I could be a little more understanding if he was moving around or acting out, but he wasn’t. She told him to sit back in the chair. When he didn’t comply immediately she became even more rude and demanded “you need to sit back”. My son didn’t understand what she was asking, and after her rude demeanor he was becoming more distressed. He asked “what do mean”, and she became even more rude. There was no way I was going to let her take scissors to his hair. After her last demand I told my son we were leaving. Poor kid thought he was in trouble. I assured him loudly as we walked out, “No, she was rude and I will not tolerate anyone treating you like that!” If I, as a grown woman was treated like that I would have left. It’s sick that my autistic child had to experience that. If you can’t or won’t work with a child with special needs, say so! That’s why I ask! But to have him treated so rudely was beyond the pale. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
