  I had a great experience at the Strongsville JCP salon. I had full highlights put in my hair and my eyebrows plucked & colored. I thought Ulin did an amazing job, just wish it was a little cheaper, but my sister said that was reasonable!!

  05/28/2024 Poor customer service. I called in the morning to schedule a basic service (shampoo and blow dry). The lady on the phone who helped me was really nice and she scheduled my appointment with Jane who she said has experience with thicker hair (basically, curly hair). I made sure to tell her that I had natural hair and she assured me that there would be no problems. I then received a call an hour and 15 mins before my appointment. They called me 3 times but I was at work so I missed their calls but they left a voicemail. I called back once I saw their missed calls. I spoke with a woman who asked more questions about the hair service that I wanted. She asked if I needed my hair styled with a flat iron and I said no because I just wanted a shampoo and blowout. I asked if there was a problem and if I can still come for my appointment and she said there was no issue. I even mentioned that my hair is short and it isn’t very thick or coarse but it is soft when brushed. She proceeds to call me again 3 mins later to say that the stylist was all of a sudden not feeling well and needs to cancel my appointment. She, the lady on the phone, apologised and asked if I want to come in tomorrow but I couldn’t reschedule because my appointment had to be today. None of this made sense because the stylist was feeling just fine 3-5 mins ago even an hour ago when I initially was called. None of this added up as to why my appointment had to be cancelled so abruptly. From what I gathered, the stylist is not comfortable working with curly hair and is only used to working with Caucasian type hair. I couldn’t reschedule my appointment because I needed it done today because I have an event I need to be at tomorrow. Sad.

  I'll say it again, Ulin is awesome! For some reason my review 3-4 weeks ago posed to Updates so I'm reposting it here. I saw Ulin again today for my 4 week root touch up and told her I didn't like all the blonde (from my foil caramel highlights a few months back). I said maybe I needed to color again and go a little darker. She knew exactly what I needed and after touching up my roots and rinsing, used toner (gloss) and oh my goodness it is exactly what I envisioned! Ulin is truly the best and has amazing and super professional color knowledge. She always takes her time and makes me feel like I'm the most important client she has! Pics of me in orange are before and after today. Black shirt is a week and a half ago.

  Jeanne is amazing! I am 45 years old and have never had my own personal stylist as my go-to. Well, now I do!!! She spent so much time with me and gave easy to understand explanations because I was nervous about what I should get done to my hair (I needed something to spruce me up and make me feel good). I learned a lot from her. She's professional, friendly, easy-going, detailed, personable, and very conscientious! She knows her stuff! I love boisterous 'salon chat' like everyone else, but due to my brain injury I greatly appreciated Jeanne's calm demenour and soft voice. She gives great scalp massages over the rinse sink. I almost hesitate to post such praises about her because that means her schedule could become too booked for when 'I' want to see her - LOL. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars (has nothing to do with Jeanne) is because I thought the salon was a bit pricey. Consultation and examing my hairs ability to hold a perm vs. just getting it colored, applying 2 colors (foil, only partial head), and a style = $125. And my hair's relatively short (above the shoulders).
