- NWNoodle WaterMar 30, 20261.0Went in for a two inch trim. She took off four inches in some places and up to six inches in others. She kept telling me to get layers because “there’s no point in getting it cut if you don’t get layers. You’ve got too many split ends. You won’t even notice them.” She cut the front chunks of hair to my chin for whatever reason. She “styled” it, I guess, by making a sort of curve from front to back, making it a sort of u-shape on my head, which is incompatible with my hair type and not at all what I asked for. Any sort of hair style is now excruciatingly difficult and the end result looks terrible. Any braid I try has spikes of hair sticking out. If I wear it naturally, the curls have spikes of hair and chunks that are clearly shorter than the others. I’ve been trying to grow out my hair for three years now and I’m nearly back down to square one. So thanks, you did cut my hair, but you ruined it.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
