  Love, love this salon! As on older lady, I have experienced many salons and J Bentley checks all the boxes! My main services are manicures but will use other services as needed.

  The staff at J Bentley are kind and down to earth. Carson is the absolute best. He has cut and colored my hair, as well as my mom and son. Everyone adores him and he is so talented. Spa services have also been wonderful.

  I wish I could put into words how traumatic this experience has been. It’s the worst hair appointment I’ve ever had in my life. Before the appointment, I had long, highlighted blonde hair that went below my chest. After, I have a massacred, much shorter version with the worst “layers” I’ve ever seen. The color is still wrong and it’ll take years to fix the damage. I went in and asked to have my highlights toned. I wanted them to not look as noticeable and asked to go ashier. I decided, in the chair, to get a haircut. I told her I wanted to only lose .5-1 inch and to have very long layers. I specifically remember saying I want everything to fit in a ponytail. When my hair was finished, it was a dark auburn. I informed the stylist (and another stylist) that it wasn’t at all what I wanted. They both looked at me and said, “this is exactly what you wanted, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.” I told them it was red and they said it wasn’t. We went back and forth and I left, cried in my car, and went home. I attached a picture of the reference and what I was given. Once I got home, I saw the abomination that was my haircut. It looked like I stuck my head in a wood chipper. At my shortest layer, I probably lost 8 inches. I called back and said I needed to be seen by someone else. Mary Beth was incredible, but even she said it couldn’t be fixed. She informed me I’d have to lose several more inches to even out the damage. Mary Beth helped get it manageable, but it still isn’t right. I’ll have to cut off probably 3-4 more to even it out and it still needs colored again. With the hair loss, I can’t fix it. Please take this as a lesson. No financial cost is worth seeing a level 1 stylist here. They need more training and aren’t ready to be on the floor without guidance. The manager gave me a refund, which I appreciate, but as mentioned, it’ll take years to fix. I can’t pull my hair into a pony tail, I still have to cut several inches, and I have to take the time to curl it every day to hide the haircut. It’s been a nightmare.

  I've been going to J Bentley for years and I've never left dissatisfied. I love this place. The last time I saw Kaila and I will be back.
