- SSSamantha StoverFeb 5, 20261.0Place was filthy. The woman who cut my son's hair was the manager and her station was covered in hair and looked like she didn't even clean her cutting stuff. I don't recommend this place unless you want other peoples hair on you.
- DRDouglas ReedFeb 1, 20261.0We took our 12-year-old son to the Great Clips in Fairborn, Ohio, for a routine haircut he has received many times before. The stylist, Erica, printed off the cut our son typically gets, and I also tried to show her a photo for reference. She quickly said, “Yeah, that’s what I have,” and proceeded without really reviewing the photo. The haircut turned into a buzz cut, which is nowhere near what he has ever gotten before. In fact, he was the last one seated and the first one out of the chair, making it clear the cut was rushed. The speed of the haircut caught me off guard, and I paid before realizing just how short it was. As we were walking out, my son was in tears while walking out with his mother, clearly upset and stating that he did not want a buzz cut. He also told us that the stylist was rough with him and jerked his head around during the haircut. We returned inside and made a conscious effort to speak quietly and not cause any type of scene. Erica immediately became defensive and borderline aggressive. We discussed the possibility of adding a hard part to make the haircut look more age-appropriate, but her response was, “A line? Where?” in a very dismissive tone. She then stated the haircut “just wasn’t styled” and said we needed to tell them if we wanted it styled. I explained that we have never had to specify that before. Although she attempted to style it, too much hair had already been taken off the top, and it still looked like a buzz cut. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The rushed nature of the haircut, rough handling, poor communication, and defensive response when concerns were raised made this a negative experience.

If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
