- CNCristina NeumannSep 15, 20251.0On September 14th my children (ages 20 & 16) went in to this Great Clips. I checked them in online, and they were very excited. My youngest, Junebug, was incredibly excited to have Hannah style his hair as Hannah is amazing! Victoria, my 20 year old had a specific cut in mind and brought reference photos. She was paired with "Patti." Upon showing the photos of the short haircut Patti claimed that couldn't be done because the photo showed some curl in the hair and Victoria has straight hair. Victoria said thats okay, I just want the cut and will style to put waves/curl in. Patties put a hand on her hip and cocked her body to the side and said no it won't look good. She said you need something shorter, while proceeding to cut against the wishes of Victoria. Victoria has an extensive history of abuse from an older woman in her previous years and was scared. She shut down and sat petrified after saying NO, she didnt want what Patti was doing. She paid and left, returning home unable to verbally explain what had happened. Junebug helped explain and we got Vic to breathe and tell us what happened. I immediately called the salon and spoke to Hannah the awesome stylist who said she would have a manager call me the next day. Today, Hannah the manager (not the stylist) called and said she forwarded the matter to district manager and they will handle it. I explained that this was much more than a rude stylist. Victoria said NO, and Patti continued. This is not okay. This is bullying, and assault in my opinion. I asked that Patti not be allowed to interact with customers until this situation was reviewed and handled and was told that manager Hannah has no way to remove Patti from the schedule, and she will be allowed to work today. According to manager Hannah she can only make the schedule that district approves but cannot remove a shift. I caution all who may visit to use their voice. NO means NO, and you can always leave. Unfortunately PTSD from previous abuse froze Victoria in place while being worked on, which is so upsetting. I have adopted children from foster care and have seen a LOT of abused children grow into beautiful adults. Everyone regardless of their past deserve to feel safe and heard. Patties took both of these from Victoria. Shame on Patti, and shame on Great Clips not protecting customers while investigation this awful interaction.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
