  Long story short, the stylist colored my roots wayyyy to light and I would’ve had her redo the color but I was getting ready to go to Florida and didn’t have time. She copied the hair color from their records 4 years ago even tho I told her I wanted the root color darker, ( I wanted dark blonde to light brown at my roots.). Then she tried to convince me that she gave me the right color. I complained to the mgr/cashier while paying the bill, but they were non committal about any action THEY were going to take. She was nice, but made no attempt to fix it. And I was leaving for Florida the next day. I’m

  Overall, Blu is a lovely medispa, that offers a wide range of services. I appreciate the ease of booking online and the availability of appointments at various times throughout the week. The employees at the front desk check-in area are always welcoming and genuinely nice. The waiting area is clean, quiet and comfortable. The fireplace lounge is a peaceful place to relax both before and after a massage. My mother and I agree that it’s our favorite feature of Blu. Plus, the recent renovations are a lovely addition to what already was a wonderful spa. Specifically, Crysta is a fantastic aesthetician, and has such a positive and fun personality. She has a great deal of knowledge and expertise in her field. I have been booking my waxing sessions with her every 3-4 weeks for the past 8 months and have never been disappointed with my results!

  The renovations have really made me love it even more here. The warm fireplace and the leather recliners was just what I needed. Then, there is Lisa- who is a miracle worker with her hands. If you’re looking for a deep tissue massage, she’s your girl!

  I recently went to Blu Salon for a color appointment. Before booking, I called and explained exactly what I wanted done and was told to book it as a whatever took the most amount of time due to having very long and thick hair. So I booked a full head of highlights. A few days before my appointment they called and had to reschedule my appointment to a balayage service for $325. While I was there I again told them what I wanted and they started to do my hair. Never once did they inform me of any additional costs. I was not made aware ahead of time that there would be an additional $40 charge each time more color needed to be mixed due to long/thick hair, and that a root smudge/touchup would be an additional $115… My total came to $600, which was a huge surprise and far beyond what I was expecting for a root smudge and highlights. I believe pricing, especially when it can increase that significantly, should be clearly communicated before the service begins so clients can make an informed decision. In addition, the final result did not meet my expectations. There are visible color stripes where the root smudge shade is different from the base color of my hair, creating a noticeable line rather than a seamless blend. For the price paid, I expected a much more polished and cohesive result. For that price point, I expected to absolutely love my hair and be blown away. While it looks okay, I’m not overly impressed, and it certainly doesn’t reflect a $600 result in my opinion. Transparency in both pricing and technique would go a long way toward improving the overall client experience.

  I've been going here since the doors opened. I've had services by multiple stylists based on availability and my schedule. This last appointment the Stylist was given photos to trim already styled hair, said no problem and then took chunks out of my hair not knowing what she was doing, a second stylist attempted to fix the chop job cutting more than the trim I wanted. The color was done 4 shades darker than what I told her I wanted, she was again given photos and went over the color swatches to even out the color, I instructed her in keeping it close to natural not dark as she had previously colored it, I got the opposite of what I wanted. The counter staff, manager and current owner are rude. Horrible service, horrible customer service, drastically overpriced for the quality and skills provided. I now see what others have warned me about, I do not recommend.
