I went in to buy make-up. Salesperson approaches with no smile or greeting and says just, “What do you want”. She was sullen the entire time, I imagine to let me know she has no time for old ladies with wrinkles. I walked out with nothing and got what I needed at Ulta.

I really appreciate how friendly the staff is while my girlfriend shops. It wasn’t until my last experience there that rubbed me the wrong way & left my girlfriend upset. My girlfriend wanted her skin “scanned” (I apologize I’m not well-versed in some stuff,) by an employee for their current reward points challenge they had going on (her words not mine.) I guess they use a specific device to scan your skin.. the employee knowing that unnecessarily said “your skin looks oily” to my girlfriend as she’s patiently waiting for her to pull something up on her device. I made eye contact with my girlftiend taken aback by the comment & she looked flustered. Upon the scan, her skin came out “normal..” which further reinstated our feelings about the event. After leaving the store, we figured we’d let it go because we genuinely have an overall nice experience at this location. That was until my girlfriend had went recently for a pick up order but decided to shop around while she was in there. She was checked out by a kind employee who helped her out and upon leaving the same employee from our last upsetting experience mumbled “have a great day” in a mocking voice when she left the store. That is just so odd holding a position of a luxury brand to treat a customer that way. Especially a kind customer. She finally asked for the employee’s name, Mary Anne. Please treat your regulars with kindness.
