  Go see Raye at this location! I cannot say enough good things about her AND the afternoon manager at this location. They are both so knowledgeable but RAYE IS YOUR GIRL!!! Raye has helped me completely rebuild my makeup kit after a boy did something stupid to it (boy is gone btw). She has been so patient and remembers what she suggested to me before. I am an older girlie but she has knowledge of ALL skin types. She has given me application tips for new products and will even de-influence me on certain products that I come in for (even if more expensive that what she’s recommending). There has not been one, not one, product she hasn’t hit the mark with. I’ve also been introduced to a lot of new brands and types of products I would have never known about. They’ve all been perfection! I’ve been a Sephora customer since Aug 2008 when I moved to NYC. In the past 5ish yrs sales associates will really only recommend the ‘new thing’ the brand corporate has told them to push. You go to more than one Sephora and they are telling you to the same thing despite you telling them different needs for a concealer. NOT RAYE. She asks questions and thinks of your whole routine not just that one product add. GO SEE RAYE!! The one good thing about moving to Long Island.

  Visited the Riverhead Sephora to shop for perfumes and planned to spend $300–$500, as fragrance is something I regularly purchase and stock up on. I usually shop at the Smithhaven and Shirley locations where the customer service is consistently excellent, so this visit was noticeably different. Several employees were gathered talking and laughing, and no one acknowledged or offered assistance while I browsed, even though the store was not busy. I want to be fair and clear that this did not feel race-related — I’m African American and was also not acknowledged by the associate who appeared to share my background — but the overall lack of engagement felt dismissive and unprofessional. I did make a purchase and the cashier was polite, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and I will likely return the item and continue shopping at other locations instead. I hope this feedback helps improve customer service going forward.
