  Went for a trim on my short hair style, which is usually a 15 minute job, 20 of they wash it. I was there an hour and had to call the manager over to finish because I was very concerned on what my hair was going to look like. I've never in my life had to do that,. The girls hands were shaking and she smelled like cigarettes.

  I should’ve listened to the many bad reviews and stayed away — but I didn’t! Tina cut my hair, and at first, I felt confident in her. She seemed like she knew what she was doing. I showed her a photo, and we talked about what I wanted. She was very nice and friendly at first. However, once she started cutting, she gave me blunt bangs straight across with no blending at all. She asked several times if I liked it, and I said yes — but it was clear she didn’t understand what I was asking for. When I mentioned that I wanted the bangs to blend back into my hair, she said she was doing that with the thinning scissors. At the end, I told her I loved the cut, paid, and left. But once I got home and tried styling it myself, I realized the haircut was a complete mess. I booked an appointment at Gloss Salon in Queensbury, and Lexi there completely fixed my hair — 10/10 amazing job! When I went back to the JCPenney Salon to ask about a refund, Tina immediately gave me attitude and said they “guarantee their work” and don’t give refunds. She told me to call Diane and insisted I said I loved the haircut — which I did, but only because I didn’t trust her to fix it and didn’t want anyone else there touching my hair. Bottom line: stay far away from this salon. The bad reviews are telling the truth — I wish I had listened! Included in my pictures is the inspiration picture and what I left with and an updated picture of what I left with from the other salon!

  Had a bad experience, i chose to get design works (chose all over braid for my birthday) which should include shampoo which I didn’t get. The hairstylist did two pigtails braids which I could’ve done myself and not spent $60
