    Mariah was so helpful - recommending a new product that I already love after using it for the first time this morning. She made me feel so special and like an instant friend. I was genuinely sad to say goodbye — She’s a star!!!!

    Worse Sephora I had ever shopped. It is loud, chaotic and people work here are rude/racist (I am Asian). I don't normally shopped at this location due to the fact that it is overcrowded with but the locals and tourists. But my local Sephora (Flatiron) doesn't carry the new fragrance brand I wanted to try out (Henry Rose) and the sales there kindly helped me to found out that SoHo store carried it. So here I was. I was trying the perfume when a sales lady (black; over 40) showed up next to me, and she snapped the back of my hand and told me that I should pointed the spray towards the floor not to other perfumes in the shelf. I was in shock. For one, that was very inappropriate. Secondly, I spray closely onto the test paper while angling 45 degrees towards the floor. Before I had a chance to speak to her, she turned to another the other customer (white) standing across from me, and attentively asking if she liked the perfume in her hand, adding that she had asked for a new tester so she could try on her skin. I left right away and will never return to this location ever. Mind you, I am a Sephora Rogue membe and I had shipped at plenty other Sephora stores in the States. I have never experienced shopping experience like this at any other locations. And I hope this type of behavior was only an edge case. Or I will happily direct my money to other retailers.

    Came in looking for a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair, and the associate named Sam recommended me a brand called Gisou. Best shampoo and conditioner I ever had. She was an AMAZING help and AMAZING associate to work with. If she wants a raise GIVE HER THAT RAISE. She has saved my life and my hair. SHOUTS OUT SAM!!!

    this review is a few weeks late because I completely forgot which location I went to, but I needed to shout out 2 amazing employees who helped me, Litah and Dani. They were both so incredibly helpful, educational, and thoughtful. I was looking for a new concealer and Litah took me around and put me on to some brands I don't usually consider, and then afterwards handed me off to Dani to speak on some skin care that will help the makeup Litah recommended stand out. Dani was equally as thorough and educated on the products she showed me, and i left with some wonderful skincare that has truly made the difference. It was truly the experience I wish I had every time I go into Sephora. Litah and Dani were truly exemplary, I can't thank them enough for all their help.

    If you are expecting to get any help from associates you have to be prepared to not have it. Even on the register they are going to chat to each other making you wait and ignoring you when you are the only one person in line and they are not busy at all. Plus manner the manager holding conversation with concerned customer is giving you “you are not welcomed here” vibe. They are clearly not interested in sales and having them only because of location and crowds of tourists. Thank you, I’m good!
