  소호 주변을 쇼핑하면서 느낀 점이 대부분의 직원들이 손님에게 무심하거나 심지어는 불친절(슈프림, 스투시 두 매장이 특히심했음)한데 여기는 직원들이 친절했습니다. 방문을 고민하신다면 여긴 추천하고싶네요

  I visited the Glossier store in SoHo twice during my stay in New York. Yesterday I purchased a 100 ml perfume and had a completely positive experience, which is exactly why I decided to return today to buy another 100 ml bottle. Unfortunately, today’s visit was the complete opposite. Since yesterday I had already received the small complimentary pouch, I politely asked if it would be possible to get the larger one this time by paying the price difference. I was told “no” in a very rude way. At checkout I asked if I could pay in cash and was again told “no” in an unfriendly tone. There was no sign anywhere saying cash was not accepted. Later I checked the website and, as I suspected, cash payments are accepted. You can judge the situation for yourself. I also knew that the purchase included free engraving on the perfume and two tokens for the in-store machine. The sales associate who served me (blonde, straight hair) did not mention or offer either of these. When I asked about the engraving, she looked annoyed and pretended not to understand my English before eventually agreeing to do it. If I hadn’t asked, I simply wouldn’t have received it. After picking up my perfume, I asked another associate (brown straight hair) for the tokens. She asked me to show proof of purchase and then started laughing together with the first associate. Honestly, I regret making a second purchase. This experience completely ruined my evening. After such a positive first visit, it was very disappointing to be treated this way. No customer should feel mocked or poorly treated in a store.

  You have to wait ten minutes in some liminal space lounge just to buy a product? Literally that is the only way to buy something. Dystopian futuristic atmosphere. Also in the winter, the employees have to wear branded puffer coats by the door. It says a lot about the company when it is so cold that the people working there have to wear jackets all day
