I came in to make a small purchase, and since no one was at the register, I approached Marzia, who had a portable payment device. Before I could even finish asking if I could check out with her, she abruptly looked up, said “NOPE, I’m busy,” and walked off. I was genuinely surprised by her tone, as this hadn’t been my experience in the past. Another associate kindly helped me instead. During and after my transaction, I noticed Marzia was simply on her phone and walking around. Moments later, a few other guests entered, and she immediately offered to assist them.
