Shari helped me and my friend pick out gifts for a coworker. She was kind, patient, and so informative. I really appreciated her professionalism and would absolutely come back to shop because of her.

There's an asian man that always attends us with so much happiness. He even said he remembered my name once even though he was not the one attending me that day. They are very nice to customers. They gave me so many free samples I'm still using them. Love this place.

Customer service at the World Trade Center location (185 Greenwich Street, NYC) was absolutely horrible! If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I was there last week for a return and the sales rep (I believe her name is Carpio; she didn't have a name tag on, but it's a name I see on my return receipt. The supervisor honored the return at the end, but this was not an easy process!) gave me so many issues. I purchased the Divine Youth Oil a little over a week ago, wanted to like it, but had to return it as the skin on my face did not agree with it. Carpio asked me what the reason for return was and I told her exactly that. She gave me such a stunned look as though she's never heard of those words before. She then proceeds to open the bottle of oil and test it out on her hand. She made a look on her face and told me that it was watery. She then asked me if I added any water to it. This was very offensive and I said no. She tested it out on another part of her hand again and compared it with their tester and again tells me that the one I'm returning is watery. She asked her supervisor, Chante, to come over to do the test between the two items and Chante was very quick to agree with Carpio. Carpio looks over her shoulder at another coworker who was sitting in the back room (I couldn't see her name tag or if she even had one); the coworker says "store credit." Carpio then relays the information to me. Of course I cannot agree to that because it would be unfair for me to not get the return in the original payment method when it was not my issue that the item I purchased happened to be "watery," which I still cannot agree to because it felt silky when I applied it to my skin. Carpio continued to push the store credit onto me and I continued to say "no" to that. I further explained that with a little knowledge of science, one should know that if water is added to oil, the end product would not be a perfect mixture, as we all know that oil and water do not mix. I continued to explain to Carpio that if I had added water to the product, the oil would be sitting separately on top of the water and as anyone can see, nothing in that bottle was separated. I was very much done with talking to Carpio and told her that she can contact L'Occitane's headquarters to escalate this issue. She then asked her supervisor, Chante, to assist me with the return. Chante looked over at Carpio and said "you know how these things are," proceeded to do the return, and didn't bother saying anything to me. This horrible experience left such a foul taste in my mouth. It was a complete insult to my intelligence and overall being. I will never again give this store my hard earned money!
