  Love their perfume but not everyone should work in retail. The girl that worked there on January 10 around 2pm/3pm did not want to be bothered. I smiled at her upon entering the store. She just looked away. I asked her for help. She told me I can spray scents myself. The gentleman that seemed helpful and engaging was helping another client so I walked out. I have two of their fragrances and was looking to buy a third but was definitely not going to buy from her.

  I have had many wonderful experiences at Diptyque. Allison is incredibly kind, thorough, and genuinely helpful - she takes the time to walk me through different scents, answers all my questions thoughtfully, and makes the experience feel personal. She also includes gorgeous samples with my purchases. The service feels warm, attentive, and elevated - exactly what you hope for in a Diptyque boutique.

  No greeting when we walked in. Went in for a diffuser and to pick out a scent. Picked up a perfume bottle and the cap went rolling right off. Instead of helping me the employee told me to be more mindful in a condescending and rude tone. I understand it's the holidays, but the attitude was insane. Walked out without anything.

  I arrived at the store from the other end of the city, on a very busy day to purchase perfume. The store was supposed to be open until seven. At two thirty the door was locked and a sign said "Due to circumstances beyond our control the store is closed until three-quarters." While I was standing there a girl came and opened the door, came in and told me - I'm on my lunch break, come back in 45 minutes, and shut and locked store door in my face. This is a disgraceful service, certainly in a business that charges some of the highest prices there are. Simply embarrassing. I won't be back and I won't be buying.
