  Went in here today with a friend and i approached one of the workers to ask if she can price check an item since it was on clearance. She then proceeded to say “You can do that up front” very rudely. i was very confused because she already was price checking the holiday stuff to mark them down. Sorry you couldn’t take two seconds of your time to simply check a price. I put the item down and walked out. This is why i like Ulta better!

  This past Thursday, I stopped in to try to get some Christmas gift ideas for my son's girlfriend. There were no employees as I walked through and by the time I reached the registers, I realized all the Sephora employees (3-4 of them) were all behind the registers talking amongst themselves and looking at their phones. I approached the registers and stood there a moment, waiting to be acknowledged. That never happened. The large young lady looked up at me then, looked back down at her phone so, I said, "Good morning", the other employees turned their backs on me and the large young lady glanced up at me and parroted, "Good morning. How are you?". I replied, "I'm well, how are you?". Her face was already back in the phone and I was ignored. I stood there a moment more then said, "I'm looking for a gift for a 19 year old young lady". She continued looking at her phone so, I prompted, "Perhaps some makeup brushes or something? I'm not sure what you carry". The young lady reluctantly walked over with me towards where the makeup brushes are, suggesting that I take a look at them. I attempted to ask more questions as I was again, looking for a gift and she walked away so, I left. I understand now why this Sephora never has customers in there. Or perhaps, the pple working there pick and choose who to be friendly towards. I try not to shop in Kingston as the customer service is generally horrible but, this has been one of my worst interactions to date in over 10 years. It's the holiday season, if you dnt want to interact with customers, why are you working in retail?? I'm sure nothing will be done about this but, i figured I'd review this location anyway to warn others because, it was a rude interaction.

  Callie in Sephora! Callie was absolutely incredible. As soon as I entered Sephora, she greeted me right away and asked if I needed any help. I needed a lot of help actually, because I wasn’t exactly sure what I was looking for. She took so much time with me and explained everything to me of how to use certain products. She was so knowledgeable and educated in the makeup/beauty industry, which I found astonishing. She was beyond friendly, polite, professional, and just an absolute pleasure to deal with. I left there feeling very confident with the products that she suggested for me, and will only go back to her when I am in need of something in the future. A+++ - this girl deserves a raise.
