  I have come here several times because it’s the only Sephora in the area that I know of. The employees are always rude and unhelpful even when there’s no other customers in the store. I’m not understanding how all their employees with maybe an exception of a few, have customer service jobs and don’t like helping customers or act like it’s a problem when they’re asked for help.

  I have tried to leave internal feedback to address this issue, but since I didn't make a purchase, Kohls makes this incredibly time consuming. I just visited this Sephora inside Kohls in BigFlats, NY, to use my birthday gift. Today is Dec 31st, my birthday is January 7th, and I recieved the card in the mail yesterday telling me to drop in and claim my gift. I picked up an eyeshadow and told Vanessa at the counter I would like to pick up my birthday gift. She informed me they are out of Birthday gifts for 2023 and I could use my gift for $5 off a purchase if I wanted. Then she asked if my birthday was Dec or Jan and when I said Jan, she informed me that I couldn't use my birthday gift today, but could use it anytime during the month of January. I didn't have the mailer on me at the time, but it didn't make sense to me that I'd have to wait a day and come back to the store. She never asked me for my information to check my beauty insider account. After returning home, I read the fine print on the card and it states it can be used any time 2 weeks before or after your birthday, or anytime in your birthday month. I'm not sure how Sephora and Kohl's collaborate to make sure the experience is consistent across their stores and that employees are well trained. I wasted a lot of time today to get my birthday gift and I feel that Vanessa was not helpful to solve the problem. Hopefully some additional training can be provided so other people aren't inconvenienced.
