  Ive never written a review for any store ever! This is my first time doing so because I’m upset about the experience I had. For some reason it is only this Sephora here on 86th street that is not pleasant. The workers there do not have an upbeat attitude and they stare you down with a nasty face. I’ve experienced it a couple of times at this location. I’m an ASM in retail as well, and let me tell you! If I had people like that on my team, there’s going to be a verbal and if not fixed it’s a write up! There’s no reason you should be making a customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcome with a nasty attitude and stare downs. Seeing all of these reviews makes a lot of sense. I would hope that the DM who oversees this location take the time to read these reviews and help their customer service skills.

  This is the worst Sephora location in NY. Lazy personnel, always walking around, never there to help and the managers are the worst. They are ckueless, never seem to know what's going on. Can't process proper refunds, heck they can't even check a gift card balance properly. The have a hard time swiping it in the right direction.

  I went to the Sephora on 86th Street in Bay Ridge today and had such a bad experience. Most of the products were out of stock, the store was messy and disorganized, and it definitely didn’t feel clean. On top of that, the staff was extremely lazy and had a lot of attitude — no one seemed interested in helping. I expected much better from Sephora. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location.

  Shopped at 86th St Bayridge Sephora (saw few replies from Sephora to state which location you've shopped at but not sure why when the review is under the Bayridge location) looking for a Kerastase shampoo. There was a blondish hair woman standing by the hair section and she was chit chatting with a makeup artist. I waited for them to finish and 20 minutes later they're still chit chatting. I went towards her to get her attention, she looked at me like if I was a nuisance, and said, "give me a minute." She went back to her conversation while I waited another 10 minutes just for her to say the shampoo is not available. She was absolutely no help at all. Didn't offer alternatives or recommended other options. Doesn't want to help customers, doesn't want to engage, just wanted to chit chat and do nothing. Therefore would not return.
