I went to get my hair cut for a donation to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer. I dont expect them to know all the different donation rules or guidelines, but I gave explicit instructions and showed her. The hair needed to stay in a ponytail, they dont accept loose hair strands. It needed to be 10 inches from tip to tip. I explained all of this twice and showed her with a ponytail. It took several times trying to show her where I needed it cut, after asking for a ruler. She then cut my hair below the ponytail and handed me a loose clump of hair.....I tried to put a ponytail holder back on it, but I doubt it can be used with the hair so uneven and loose. I'm not even sure she understands she did it wrong either, because when she handed me the hair, I told her AGAIN it was supposed to stay in a holder, they dont accept loose hair, she did not apologize or acknowledge it at all. I didnt even want to pay. It took me over a year to grow my hair long enough for a donation, and I have donated to Locks of Love 6 times before. This was a terrible and very upsetting experience.

Did not greet us, just rudely asked for phone number and walked away to the chair. He/she just stood there smacking on gum and we were like oh I guess we were suppose to follow. I asked for 6 inches to be cut from my daughter's hair and the person rudely said oh I don't have a ruler just show me. I said that's it, forget it, you've had an attitude since we walked in. How are you a hair dresser and don't know what 6 inches is?? I couldn't believe it. We walked in and out in like 2 minutes.

I’ve had some good experiences. There’s a woman with pink hair whose name I’m not sure of who did a great job. However, I went in recently for just a regular buzz cut fade. My hair in the back was not blended at all, but I wasn’t shown the back of my head before I left. When I came back in and asked the person who cut my hair to blend it, she sloppily took clippers to the back of my head and created a bald spot. Again, she didn’t show me that side when she finished. Our haircuts follow us everywhere, so I’d recommend going to the Supercuts across the street or even spending a bit more at a proper barber.
