  The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado is an absolute dream. From the moment I arrived everything felt relaxing. It is a true hidden gem in New Mexico that I only recently found out about. I was treated to an incredible massage followed by a private hot tub and sauna experience. It was so serene. What truly made it unforgettable was the personal touch. A sweet little birthday cake and champagne waiting for me in the private spa suite, which made the whole visit feel warm. A special shout out to Violet, who was kind beyond measure and made the experience that much more wonderful.

  I had another bad experience with the spa. I had made a reservation and wanted to change the time. I sent two emails to the spa requesting the change, but no one ever replied. Finally I called them and cancelled the reservation and also told them that this kind of lack of customer service is most definitely not up to Four Seasons five-stars standards. But there was zero attempt at guest recovery. I am very familiar with Four Seasons and have stayed with them at various locations around the world. But the Four Seasons in Santa Fe is doesn't even have the customer service skills of a Hampton Inn.

  I ALWAYS book a treatment when in Santa Fe and it has never disappointed. I hold every other spa across the United Stares to their standard and no one has ever come close to the levels of expertise I’ve received. I was there two weeks ago and have been stopping myself from calling every day. I was left feeling disappointed, disgusted and just plain icky and time hasn’t helped the way I am feeling. I had a male masseuse and 15-20 minutes of my 80 minutes was spent moving around the table apparently trying to loosen my hips, etc., and “open myself up to Mother Earth.” My husband has a different opinion on what was actually going on. I’ve tried to laugh it off but the more time passes, the worse I feel for not having enough gumption to stop it. There are a few other things that happened that left me feeling uncomfortable but I won’t go into them. I should have been brave enough to say “STOP” so I feel responsible. Not sure if that was last visit or not. Hoping the memory of this will fade and I’ll look forward to next time.
