Very disappointing experience. The stylist was rude and impatient with my three-year-old, which made the visit uncomfortable. The haircut itself was very choppy and uneven. I was not impressed at all and wish I could get a refund so I could take him elsewhere.

I am 100% disabled and have no use of one of my arms making it impossible to do my own hair. I went. to the Great Clips for in Santa Fe NM for years for a wash and blowout. They are professional and reasonably priced. I recently moved to one of the elderly living facilities near the Great Clips Andalucia. I was very excited that it was located across the street and within walking distance. It was one of my deciding factors to move to the facility . When I went in for my first wash and blowout I was charged the $60 rate, which was surprisingly higher than Santa Fe .With tax and tip it was about $85. When I went the second time they tried to charge me the $80 rate but honored the $60 rate because that is what I had been charged before. Nevertheless, I have business meetings to attend and have to look presentable so I began to check in early and went a few more times. One of the reasons I tried to budget this expense is because I loved how Crystal did my hair and began following what days she worked .Being on a fixed income e this is a huge expenditure and it was clear that I couldn't do this daily. Since I can't use my hands I decided to call and find out how much it would cost just to put it in a pony tail if I washed my hair with salon-quality shampoo and dried it. I was told that the district office would have to be contacted and waited all day for the return call. I finally called again. I was told not to wash and dry it and that it would be washed and dried with just a hand and without a brush for $10. Although a pony tail only takes a couple of minutes I decided to try it because of important events. It came out good. This amounts to paying Great Clips a guaranteed amount of $150 to $300.00 a month but it was better than the other prices. The second time I went I left a $7.00 tip so the total was approximately $18.83 and fairly enough I was informed that the prices were going to increase. When I went the this la week the girls looked at each other with rolling eyes and rudely said"You were told that the prices were increasing!". I agreed that I was told of the impending price increase and asked what my new base rate was . I was told that my new base rate was $20.00,double the price and had I to turn around and leave. So now, I would have to pay Great Clips$300-$600.00 a month just for a pony tail that only takes a couple of minutes to put in. I understand from conversations with the employees at Great Clips that many people from the senior communities go to Great Clips because it's close and they are elderly or disabled. We all get Great Clips coupons in our mailboxes regularly. The residents at Andalucia Villas and at Overture Andalucia 55+ are now clearly aware of the price increases and the entire community should be aware of the prices, and bad customer service. The only bright part of this salon is the full-time employee Crystal. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend. I

Stylist was not friendly at all. She spoke to her coworkers and the gentleman getting a haircut next to me. It took her literally about 5 minutes to cut my hair. My sideburns were uneven when she finished, and I pointed that out, and she still did not cut them even. I came home and did it myself. I go there all the time and have never had someone so unfriendly before. I will continue to go - but if she happens to be the stylist I get, I will defer and wait for the next one available. Also, I tip well. Not today. And I still tipped her about 20% - I normally tip 40-50%. Edit after "owner" response: I appreciate your reply. However, I am curious if my comment was understood. I will not contact customer service. I would expect the "owner" would easily be able to determine who the stylist was, and would speak with them about it. That is what a responsible owner would do, if they wish to "make things right". They would not ask the customer to report it again! I am now reconsidering if I will continue to go there after that reply. It certainly makes me understand why an employee would think it is OK to be so rude and unfriendly to a customer. They are not being held accountable by the owner.
