However, I feel obligated to share my experience to prevent others from potential harm. I initially visited Anu Med Spa for Pico laser treatment for under-eye pigmentation. My first provider was excellent - knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. After she left, I continued treatments with the owner, Dr. Anu, which led to two concerning experiences. First Visit with Dr. Anu: No standard safety protocols followed (no countdown before laser pulses, which any experienced provider knows is essential for patient comfort and safety) Dismissive attitude when I requested basic courtesy warnings Treatment resulted in hypopigmentation and possible rebound pigmentation Second Visit (months later): I specifically requested lower energy settings due to my previous adverse reaction My concerns were ignored - no discussion or acknowledgment She proceeded with high energy settings without warning This resulted in immediate "frosting" and a burn that has left scarring on my face Only after causing the burn did she reduce to the settings I had originally requested, which then worked without issue The most troubling aspect is that she confirmed the burn was caused by the energy being too high - exactly what I had tried to prevent by requesting lower settings. A responsible practitioner would have either honored my request or explained why different settings were necessary, not simply ignored patient input and proceed without consent. The lack of basic safety protocols, dismissal of patient concerns, and failure to adjust treatment despite known risks resulted in permanent scarring to my face. This is not about personality or bedside manner - this is about patient safety and professional standards. If you're looking for quality service that prioritizes patient safety and basic professional standards, I cannot stress enough - do not come here.
