I’ve worked in the hair industry myself, and finding someone these days who truly listens, cares, and takes pride in their craft feels rare. From the moment I sat in her chair, I could tell she was the real deal, experienced, kind, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I came in just wanting a simple long-layer cut with a little extra bounce, and she absolutely nailed it. It’s exactly what I had in mind, light, healthy, and perfectly shaped. Beyond her talent, Christine Jai’s energy is so warm and genuine. You can feel that she truly wants every person who sits in her chair to leave feeling good about themselves. She deserves so much recognition for her skill and heart. Sometimes the best stylists aren’t hidden in fancy salons, they’re the ones like Christine Jai showing up every day, doing amazing work, and making people feel beautiful. I recently had a root perm (was supposed to be a root perm) and it's been about two weeks and two inches of the top is straight already. This is the same person that blasted me on FB because I criticized an experience my daughter had at the Eatontown salon some years ago where they put the wrong chemical on hair. This stylist went on and on to brag about her years of expertise in doing perms and how JC Penney is a reputable salon with years of history. So I challenged her, scheduled an appointment and came in for a root perm. Yesterday I contacted her on FB messenger and gave her my thoughts on the disastrous cut rate perm I got. I'd rather pay over $100 for quality perm from a quality salon than $60 for a below standard product from a stylist that just wants to toot her own horn. I'm the one that has to walk around like this and work with this thanks to her. SMH
