We were a walk in, asked to get my nieces hair trimmed and a good washing with a blow dry. She was handed off to Sarah I believe while I checked her in. She wasn’t long at the bowl and her hair looked half dry when she got in the chair, I asked for a good shampoo and conditioner explaining she has a tough time washing her hair since it’s thick. She then proceeded to spend a good 10 minutes detangling her hair which I know it gets matted which is helped with a good conditioning which was evident that it wasn’t done. After cutting the hair I could see from my seat it was crooked as she was blow drying the hair with her fingers, not even a brush. I walked over and pointed it out and asked for her to use a brush, which she told me “ it’s all over the place right now I’ll check it when I’m done “ and something about using the brush when her hair is dry which defeats the purpose of using the brush while drying. I continued to watch from my seat and I wanted so badly to just take my niece out of the chair and leave because of how rough she was with the roller brush, she even sucked her hair up into the back of the hair dryer more than once. She asked me to look at it and I said it still looked crooked so she asked the other hair dressers if it’s straight and after tilting my nieces head they said it was straight that she was leaning yet when we got home it was the first thing others noticed. After paying and walking out ( a kids cut with long hair is the same as an adult signature cut?) with my niece visibly upset she told me where her neck was killing her from how the hair dresser was ripping at her tangles and pulling on her head. She said she had the other woman who was working and she was the best last time, my mom goes to the male there and loves him yet this hair dresser seemed bothered to be doing a child’s hair and gave off laziness and no communication with the my niece. Hair dressers like her make kids hate getting their hair done.
