  Since it's not letting me leave two reviews, I had to do the average of the two stylists: Aarti: 5 stars. She's wonderful, professional, knowlegable and kind. She cut my son's hair extremely well and very neatly. She was quick too. I am so appreciative of her help. Lisette: 1 star (see below) My daughter, unfortunately, had to have her hair cut by Lisette. I don't know where to start. To begin with when we came in she said outright that she couldn't do my son's haircut (?) and said my daughter's would be "easier to do". I should've noted the red flag right there. My son's haircut was just a standard clipper (#2) on the back and sides and siccors on top. He doesn't have any crazy cowlick or special texture, but ok fine, I thought, maybe it was because my son was only 4 and she didn't do well with little kids or something. My daughter is 9 and has straight long/medium hair. I requested to keep the length and just trim and inch and maybe add some long layers and face framing. Lisette suggested thinning it out instead of long layers, which I agreed to, thinking she knew better (she did not). However, the entire time she seemed confused, annoyed, and did not communicate well with me. She was cutting my daughter's hair totally dry, saying she didn't want to wet it down because it was raining outside (?) I checked on my son and Lisette quickly announced she was done with my daughter's haircut. But I kept seeing so many uneven areas. She was defensive and said they'd brush out (?) The second my daughter got up from the chair, the unevenness was plainly obvious. While paying for my son, I discretely pleaded with Aarti to check my daughter's hair cut because Lisette kept cutting more and more off while trying to make it even. My daughter was in tears. Lisette kept blaming everything else for the difficulty in cutting my daughter's hair, ("the chair is higher than the back of her hair" "you're daughter needs to cooperate so I can do my job"). When I asked if cutting it dry was making it more difficult, Lisette abruptly told Aarti to do it because she "just can't". I really gave her the benefit of the doubt up until she started blaming the chair height. She didn't even look at me or thank Aarti for fixing her mess. But I can't thank Aarti enough, she was so professional and understanding with my daughter and she fixed her haircut nicely.

  Early last year we were disappointed with the North Brunswick location. The salon was mostly closed. Finally we heard it opened, and we have gone there since October 2025 a few times. We have had Aarti cut hair for me and my wife Rita. She is excellent at her work, very professional and curtious. We recommend her highly and hope the salon is able to keep her at this location.

  I've been bringing my son here on and off for many years. These new workers are the best getting a great haircut for under $40 for less including tip thank you ladies.
