  We just got my daughter Addy’s ears re-pierced here today and I have to say it was an amazing experience due to the person piercing her ear. Keeshia did an amazing job at keeping my daughter calm and at taking the perfect measurements for the piercing itself. Keeshia was super patient and understanding. She had an amazingly calm demeanor, and I would absolutely recommend her all of my friends and family. Keeshia I hope you read this review because I want to say thank you once again for doing such an amazing job today and for being so nice to my daughter. If your child is at all nervous about getting an ear piercing, I highly recommend Keeshia.

  I had a 5:30 PM appointment for my 6-month-old’s ear piercing at Rowan in Short Hills Mall. I drove 40 minutes and arrived at 5:37 PM, but was told my appointment was canceled and I had to wait until 7:30 PM. I never received any message saying being less than 10 minutes late would cancel my appointment. Driving that far with a baby is already hard (sometimes you have to stop to feed), so this felt unfair and like a waste of my time. Clear communication about late policies would really help parents.

  My daughter got her ears pierced here recently. The in-store experience was good and the woman piercing my daughter did a nice job. However, about two weeks after she had her ears pierced, one of the brand new earrings that we purchased there broke and couldn’t be worn. The piece coming out of the earring that fits into the back broke off. When I contacted customer service they instructed me to use any earring we had so that it wouldn’t close up. This caused an infection. The earrings themselves were $176 and clearly poor quality. The piercing for two ears was $70. We now have to let her ear close up due to the infection and have it re-pierced. All around traumatizing experience for a young girl and total waste of money, so I definitely don’t recommend coming here.

  I brought my baby daughter in for her first ear lobe piercing at the Short Hills, NJ location. I asked right at the start if I could give my 6-month-old daughter a bottle after the piercing to soothe her, and was told not only that it was okay, but that we were advised to do so. Within less than five minutes of getting pierced, my daughter and I were kicked out of the chair by Talia. I was holding and feeding my baby a bottle and was abruptly told to get out of the chair so they could pierce someone else. There were no other accommodations offered so I had to awkwardly stand in the middle of the store and feed my daughter who had just been crying. Rowan should slightly extend appointment times for young babies, instead of rushing you out of the seat immediately after the needle goes through your baby’s ears. After careful research, I had selected Rowan because I heard that they are good with babies, but after this terrible experience I would never recommend this location, or Talia, to anyone with small children.

  Everything was AMAZING! I got my conch pierced by nurse Sharon and she was incredible! She answered all my questions and talked me through the whole process… she put my mind at ease and turned my anxiety into excitement. I have several piercing but this was my first one done at Rowan — I will definitely be back!! I highly recommend Rowan!
