  Very disappointed with my experience at this salon💔 I got my hair colored on January 27th and unfortunately the result was nothing like what I asked for. I understood from the beginning that it might not look 100% identical to the reference photo, and I was okay with that. But what I got was not even close. My hair ended up with yellow-greenish strands in different areas and overall it just looked very poorly done. To be fair, the stylist who worked on my hair was kind and polite during the appointment. I really did try to give the result a chance and convince myself to like it, but I just couldn’t.😭 When I called on January 29th to explain the issue, the manager treated me poorly on the phone and even hung up on me. they offered a refund, I waited but nothing ever happened. On February 9th they “confirmed” that they would process a $175 refund within 48–72 hours. Weeks have passed and I still have not received anything. At this point I’ve had to spend time on calls with my bank because the salon never actually started the refund they promised. That is very unprofessional!!! A VERY HEARTBREAKING EXPERIENCE 0/10 don’t recommend AT ALL!

  Kennedy has been cutting my hair for the past year and has been absolutely wonderful!! She has always made me feel incredibly relaxed in the chair and my cut always turns out exactly how I envisioned. She’s talented, sweet, and pays attention to all the little details, which really makes a difference! My hair is the healthiest it’s been in forever and I wouldn’t want anybody else touching my hair. Highly highly recommend!!

  Kennedy has been doing my cut and color for over a year and a half now and let me tell you MY HAIR HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER!! She took me from brunette to a GORGEOUS bright blonde then back to brunette with ease! She has so much talent and I trust her with my life! My hair has never looked better and I look forward to every appointment because I know I will never be disappointed!! She is also so beyond uplifting during every appointment, she never once made me feel like I was asking or doing too much! I will continue going to Kennedy for as long as I possibly can!!

  I’ve been to some of the “best” salons from NYC to LA — but CHOP in New Jersey truly outdoes them all. Dawn styled and highlighted my hair better than I have ever experienced. The attention to detail, precision, and artistry were absolutely next level. I walked out feeling more confident than I have in years. AMAZING! If you’re looking for the best haircut or color you’ve ever had, I highly recommend CHOP. You won’t be disappointed!

  Chop Salon in Maplewood is amazing! The salon is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The staff is friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and upscale. Gianna is an incredibly talented stylist, colorist, and blonding specialist. She really takes the time to listen and explains the process so you feel confident moving forward. Her attention to detail and expertise with haircuts, hair color, and blonding truly show. If you’re looking for a skilled hairstylist for cut, color, or blonding in Maplewood, NJ, I highly recommend booking with Gianna at Chop Salon. She has a true talent for what she does and it absolutely shows in the results!!
