Our manufacturing facilities are located on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh, as well as the lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat. - EKErika KDec 26, 20252.0Corrected, Reprimanded, and Unpurchased Stopped into the Lush at Newport Mall the day after Christmas intending to buy the large Sleepy lotion and a discounted Sleepy Dream shower gel. I was in a good mood and ready to make a purchase. While browsing the lotion section, I did not see a tester for Sleepy placed below the product or immediately nearby, and there was no signage indicating a different location. Based on what was visible, I briefly opened the lotion to smell it. An associate immediately intervened with “the testers are actually right here,” followed by “let’s start over,” delivered in a tone that made me feel corrected rather than welcomed as a customer. I explained the situation to the manager, who apologized, but the interaction shifted toward correcting my language rather than addressing why unclear product placement and tone resulted in a lost sale. Nice products. Clean store. I left without purchasing anything.
